Our mission is to celebrate the Silk Road’s cultural heritage through music and dance, fostering education, curiosity, and cross-cultural appreciation.
Among the countless brilliant moments in human civilization, there once existed a world-renowned trade network that spanned the Eurasian continent, facilitating economic and cultural exchanges between numerous civilizations—the "Silk Road（丝绸之路）."
This network was mainly divided into two parts: the maritime and overland routes. Starting from the South China Sea during the Han Dynasty, it passed through the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal, and the Persian Gulf, finally reaching the Mediterranean. Encompassing over 40 countries in Asia, Europe, and Africa, it enabled the exchange of diverse goods, cultures, aesthetics, literature, music, dance, and religious beliefs. The Silk Road gave rise to many familiar historical figures and events, such as the Italian explorer Marco Polo, who wrote The Travels of Marco Polo; the Swedish geographer Sven Anders Hedin, who discovered and mapped the "Roof of the World" in Central Asia; and the Chinese navigator Zheng He, who commanded seven voyages along the Maritime Silk Road to conduct friendly diplomacy between China and many Eurasian countries.
The Silk Road is undoubtedly a shared heritage of humanity, and its legacy continues to benefit us today.
